However...However, something's been troubling Stark. He's grown paranoid, fearful of his prized technology that he himself created as seen in the first film. Unfortunately, that paranoia has become a hellish reality, in the form of a sociopathic terrorist leader known only as "Mandarin". And it comes as no surprise to film lovers, that this character is portrayed on film by the distinguished Sir Ben Kingsley (Gandhi, Shutter Island). And judging to his character persona, Kingsley seems to be the perfect choice to star as Iron Man's newest and most DANGEROUS enemy in the history of Marvel Comics.
With his technology stolen, his Iron Man suits destroyed, his secretary/love interest Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) taken captive by this deranged warmonger and a deadly technological virus constructed by a ruthless businessman named Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce) who is POSSIBLY in cahoots with Mandarin. In short, all HELL has broken loose.
But Iron Man can stop it...or CAN he? Fortunately, to the relief of film audiences, Stark's partner Rhodes/War Machine (Don Cheadle) is on hand to help out. And so begins an explosive struggle as Stark tries to save his beloved industry and world all while contemplating on a MAJOR question: Does the man fit the suit, or does the SUIT fit the MAN
Find out May 3, 2013. Be warned: This film develops more of a serious tone (in the style of The Dark Knight Rises), added with intense violence, unsettling images and moments. Has Iron Man met his match? Can Stark WIN?
OF COURSE!!!! He's beaten the Iron Monger, Whiplash, hell, he even flew through and demolioshed a giant alien war machine in the Avengers. As they say, 3 times the charm. Marvel heroes ALWAYS win!!!
